Amfiteatar Salona

The ruins of a Roman amphitheatre in ancient Salona (modern Solin, Croatia), erected in the latter half of the 2nd century CE (c. 170 AD) [1]. The arena could accommodate approximately 17,000 spectators who gathered to watch gladiatorial combat and other public spectacles [1]. Measuring 65 x 58 metres, the structure represents a significant entertainment venue in the Roman province of Dalmatia, with relatively well-preserved remains visible today.
