Xələc, Nakhchivan

Xələc is a prehistoric settlement in Sharur District, Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, located near Khalaj Mount on the Aras River bank [1]. The modern village has 1,268 residents and lies 8 km northwest of the district center, with farming as the primary economic activity [1]. Local infrastructure includes a secondary school, kindergarten, library, club, and medical center [1]. The site represents continuous human habitation in the Nakhchivan region from the 5th millennium BC to the present day.
