AzerbaijanThe Nakhchivan Rock Signs were discovered in 2016 at Agsal, between the villages of Erefse and Milax in the Culfa (Julfa) region of Azerbaijan. Three rock signs were found featuring drainage channels directed towards the canyon, suggesting fluid flow for ritual purposes. Their proximity to graves indicates cult usage, and some function as wishing wells, a tradition still continued by local villagers who visit a nearby wishing tree. Similar rock signs are common across Southern Azerbaijan and Eastern Anatolia.
