Gabarnmung Cave

Gabarnmung is an archaeological and rock art site in southwestern Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, Australia [1]. Excavations revealed habitation dating back at least 44,000 years, making it among the oldest radiocarbon-dated sites in Australia [1]. The cave was still visited by Jawoyn people within living memory, possibly until the 1950s, but its existence had been forgotten until its 2006 rediscovery [1].
