Box Gully Archaeological Site

Box Gully is an Aboriginal archaeological site on the shore of saline Lake Tyrrell in the Mallee region of northern Victoria, Australia. The site contains remains of a small hunting camp that produced radiocarbon dates of 26,600-32,000 years BP, making it one of the earliest known occupied sites in the region and the first evidence of Aboriginal occupation south of the Murray River prior to the last glacial maximum [1][2].
