Horom Citadel is a Bronze Age through Urartian fortress settlement located about 1 km east of the village of Horom in the Shirak Province of Armenia. The complex consists of two citadels on opposing hills 320 metres apart, featuring massive volcanic stone fortification walls. Occupation spans from the Early Bronze Age (4th-3rd millennium BC) through Middle Bronze Age, Early Iron Age, and Urartian periods (8th-6th centuries BC). Excavations by Armenian and American archaeologists led by Ruben Badalian and Philip Kohl uncovered well-preserved walls and abundant cultural materials including potsherds and obsidian flakes. It is considered one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Armenia.
