The Roman Theatre in Benevento, southern Italy, was constructed in the 2nd century AD during the reign of Emperor Hadrian [1]. It was built near the city's cardo maximus and abandoned during the Lombard period [1]. The structure is now enveloped by the medieval Rione Triggio district [1]. The venue continues to host concerts, performances, and other cultural events [1].
