Athena Tapınağı

(530 BC) Ruins of a temple dedicated to Athena at Assos, featuring a megaron-style layout facing east with a columned entrance [1]. The structure combines Doric architectural elements with an Ionian-style under-roof frieze [1]. Surviving features include a two-step podium and several columns still standing without their original foundations [1]. The temple was constructed by Greek settlers from Lesbos who established Assos in the 7th century BC [2].
