The Aleksandrovo Tomb is a Thracian burial mound near Aleksandrovo, Haskovo Province, Bulgaria, dating to the late 4th or early 3rd century BC. Accidentally uncovered by an earth-moving machine in December 2000, archaeologist Georgi Kitov led rescue excavations in 2001, revealing a round chamber accessible through a 14.4-meter corridor -- among Bulgaria's longest. The tomb is renowned for its unique frescoes depicting hunting scenes of horsemen pursuing boar and deer in a distinctly Thracian art style, believed to represent afterlife bliss in Orphic belief. In 2021 the site received the European Heritage Label, the first for Bulgaria.
