Kunturmarka, Pasco

Kunturmarka is a pre-Columbian archaeological settlement in Peru's Pasco Region, dating to 1000–1500 AD [1]. Located in the Paucartambo District of Pasco Province, the complex features distinctive round stone buildings and chullpa tombs, which are circular burial towers used by Andean cultures for ancestor veneration [1]. The site reflects the architectural and funerary traditions of the highland peoples who inhabited the central Peruvian Andes during the late prehispanic period [1].
