Merheleva Ridge (Ukrainian: Мергелева гряда) is an Eneolithic temple and burial complex in Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine, featuring four large stone kurgans (mounds) near Perevalsk, approximately 30 km west-southwest of Luhansk [1]. Named after merhel (marlstone), a local limestone, the site dates to approximately 4000 BC, associated with the Dnieper-Donets or early Yamna culture [1]. It remained in use throughout the Bronze Age and into the Iron Age, with evidence of continued activity until the 5th century BC during the Sarmatian period [1]. The complex was discovered in 2004 and officially announced on September 7, 2006 [1].
