Solokha Kurgan

The Solokha kurgan is a 4th-century BC Scythian royal burial mound on the left bank of the Dnieper, 18 km from Kamianka-Dniprovska opposite Nikopol in central Ukraine[1]. It rises 19 m high with a diameter of about 100 m[1]. The mound contained two royal tombs; the central tomb, though robbed in antiquity, held the remains of a female ruler and two richly adorned horses, while the side chamber was found intact[2].
