Stepanivka

Stepanivka is a Cucuteni-Trypillia culture settlement in Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine, dating to approximately 5000-4300 BC and covering 15 hectares. The site represents a significant intermediate stage in the development of Trypillia megasites, demonstrating early examples of concentric house circuits, inner radial streets, and sectoral growth patterns that would later characterize the massive proto-urban settlements of the culture. It is one of over 2,440 Cucuteni-Trypillia settlements discovered across Moldova and Ukraine, belonging to a civilization that occupied roughly 400,000 square kilometres from the Carpathians to the Dnieper.
