Kaunos

Ancient Carian city on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, with origins dating to the 10th century BC. [1] The archaeological site features a fortified acropolis with Byzantine walls, a well-preserved theatre seating 5,000 spectators, and six temples (two Hellenistic, four Roman).
