Sidyma is an ancient Lycian city on the southern slope of Mount Cragus, near modern Dodurga in Mugla Province, Turkey. First recorded in the Delian League tribute lists around 425 BC, it became one of the 23 founding members of the Lycian League in 169 BC. The unexcavated site preserves Hellenistic fortifications on its acropolis, a Roman Sebasteion (imperial cult temple), and an extensive necropolis of nearly 100 tombs including sarcophagi and heroons. Notably, only Greek inscriptions have been found, with no Lycian-language texts, suggesting early Hellenization. British archaeologist Charles Fellows brought the site to modern attention in 1839.
