SwedenThe Alvastra Pile-Dwelling is a prehistoric pile dwelling from ca. 3000 BC located in Alvastra, Ödeshög Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden [1] [2]. The site served as a seasonal social and religious centre for a tribal group that left behind Funnelbeaker culture objects and Pitted Ware culture pottery [3]. Excavations occurred, with two thirds of the site surveyed by archaeologists [2] [4].
