Cave of Bacinete

The Cave of Bacinete (Cueva de Bacinete) is located in Los Alcornocales Natural Park near Los Barrios in Andalusia, southern Spain. It contains prehistoric rock art depicting animals, people, and symbols created using natural pigments. The art spans multiple periods: semi-schematic paintings in dark red from the early Neolithic, and white schematic paintings from the late Neolithic to Metal Age. Declared a Property of Cultural Interest in 1985, it is one of only eight rock shelters in southern Spain physically protected for its rock art.
