Castellum Onagrinum is a Roman military fortification on the left bank of the Danube in Begec, Serbia, built in the late 3rd to 4th century as a bridgehead opposite the fortress of Bononia (Banostor). Excavations in 1967 and 1974-75 uncovered parts of the southern rampart, a defensive tower with semi-circular foundations, and massive footing slabs indicating a pier on the Danube bank. The site also contains a Sarmatian necropolis on the northern side and a late medieval/Migration Period necropolis to the south. Part of the fortress was covered by a flood defence levee in 1965. The site has been on the Cultural Heritage of Serbia list since 1995.
