Mojeque

Mojeque, or Pampa de las Llamas-Moxeke, is a major Initial Period archaeological site in the Casma Valley of Ancash, Peru, dating to 1900-1400 BC and covering about 550 acres. The site features two great mounds: Moxeke, a stepped pyramid roughly 170 m per side and 25 m tall with polychromatic reliefs of human figures and deities, and Huaca A, a massive storehouse with 77 rooms on different levels. Julio Tello discovered six huge stone-and-mud idols nearly 4 m tall within niches on the pyramid.
