Tipitarillo Yacata

Tipitarillo Yacata is a pre-Columbian pyramid complex located near the village of Tipitarillo in the Michoacán region of western Mexico[1]. The monument is a Yacata-type pyramid featuring a rectangular base that incorporates semi-circular elements, a distinctive architectural style unique to western Mexico[1]. The structure stands approximately 4 metres (13 ft) tall with a base measuring 20 by 14 metres (65.5 by 45.9 ft)[1]. The pyramid contains six staggered tiers and remains in good condition[1]. Dating to the Early Classic period (250-500 AD), the site may have functioned as part of a larger ceremonial center, with potential cultural influences from Teotihuacan[1].
