Moylehid

Moylehid is a townland in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, in the civil parish of Boho, containing two scheduled historic monuments: the Eagle's Knoll Cairn passage tomb and the Moylehid ring cairn. Both Neolithic sites are situated on an eastern spur of Belmore Mountain overlooking the Erne valley and were excavated by archaeologist Thomas Plunkett in 1894. The townland name derives from the Irish Mul-leithid, meaning 'hill of breadth'. These monuments represent important evidence of Neolithic funerary and ritual activity in western Fermanagh.
