Eshkaft-e Salman ("Solomon's Cave") is an Elamite rock relief site in Khuzestan province, Iran, approximately 35 km from Izeh. The cave contains four reliefs from the Elamite civilization -- two inside and two outside -- depicting religious worship scenes before a fire stand. The main panel shows King Hani of Ayapir with his minister Shurturu, the queen, and prince, dating to the 12th century BC, with later 11th-7th century BC additions. The reliefs bear the largest known Elamite cuneiform inscriptions and are notable for being the first to depict a female figure at equal scale alongside male figures. The site was discovered in the 19th century by British archaeologist Austen Henry Layard.
