Trencrom Hill

Trencrom Hill is a prominent hill fort in Cornwall, England, owned by the National Trust near Lelant. It is crowned by an univallate Neolithic tor enclosure, which was later re-used as a hillfort during the Iron Age. [1] Cairns and hut circles can be seen within the stone and earth banks that enclose the level summit area. [1] The hill offers panoramic views over the Hayle Estuary and river, with Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount visible to the south. [1] The name derives from the Cornish "torr crobm," meaning "hunched bulge," first recorded in 1758. [1]
