Bosporthennis

Bosporthennis is a Late Iron Age to Roman-period settlement in the civil parish of Zennor on the Penwith peninsula, west Cornwall, England. The site comprises at least three courtyard houses at the eastern foot of Hannibal's Carn, with the best-preserved example measuring approximately 24 m by 19 m and featuring walls up to 1.5 m high enclosing a courtyard, long room, round room, and additional chambers. An adjoining field system and a medieval farmstead are also present. A Late Medieval cowhouse was built inside the walls of one courtyard house. The settlement is a Scheduled Monument and provides key evidence for the distinctive Iron Age habitation pattern of southwest England.
