Little Sodbury

Little Sodbury is a village in South Gloucestershire, England, notable for its Iron Age hillfort atop the Cotswold Ridge, accessible via the Cotswold Way. The fort covers approximately 11 acres and is defended by a double rampart with ditches, making it one of only fifty multivallate hillforts in England. The internal banks show a rectangular layout with rounded corners characteristic of Roman forts, suggesting the Romans later modified and used the earlier Iron Age encampment as a frontier post.
