Pendeen Vau

Pendeen Vau is a fogou (underground stone chamber) on the Cornish coast, situated at Pendeen Manor farm near Pendeen Lighthouse [1] [2]. Dating to the Iron Age, fogous are rare subterranean structures unique to Cornwall [2] [3]. The site lies on private land within the Penwith peninsula, an area rich in prehistoric monuments [1] [4] [5].
