Caer Bran

Multi-period hillfort on the Penwith peninsula near Sancreed in Cornwall, commanding a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding landscape. Research in the 1990s revealed Bronze Age origins: the site contains three early Bronze Age stone ring cairns enclosed by a contemporary bank dating to around 2000 BC, later re-enclosed by Iron Age ramparts in the 4th-3rd centuries BC. The outer bank stands up to 4 metres high with a ditch 2 metres deep, while the internal diameter spans approximately 60 metres. Purchased by Cornwall Heritage Trust in 2022 for conservation.
