Carn Kenidjack

Carn Kenidjack is a 202-metre granite tor in Tregeseal, west Cornwall, covered in megaliths including the Tregeseal stone circles. The site anchors a Bronze Age ritual landscape, with the Kenidjack Holed Stones -- four large granite slabs with circular perforations aligned ENE-WSW at 67 degrees -- through which sunlight shines for approximately 20 consecutive days around the winter solstice, functioning as a rudimentary calendar. The nearby Tregeseal passage grave and stone circles also orient toward solstice events, suggesting Carn Kenidjack served as a focal point for seasonal ceremonies over millennia.
