Temple of Umm Ubayd

The Temple of Umm Ubayda is a 30th Dynasty Egyptian temple in the Siwa Oasis [1] [2]. It was the second temple dedicated to the god Amun in the oasis, alongside the more famous Temple of the Oracle [1] [3]. The name "Umm Ubayda" is believed to be a corruption of "Umm Ma'bad," [1]. In 1897, a senior official demolished the temple to repurpose its stones for building stairs at a police station and his home [1].
