Easter Island

Easter Island (Rapa Nui) is a Chilean island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, famous for its nearly 1,000 monumental moai statues created by the Rapa Nui people. The island became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, with much of the island protected within Rapa Nui National Park. It is the only territory in Polynesia where Spanish is an official language.
