AlgeriaThe Tomb of Tin Hinan is a monumental Berber mausoleum on a hilltop near the oasis of Abalessa in the Hoggar Mountains, southern Algeria [1] [2]. First opened by Byron Khun de Prorok in 1925, excavators found a female skeleton adorned with seven silver bracelets on one arm and seven gold on the other [2]. The tomb is attributed to Tin Hinan ('she of the tents') [1] [3].
