Ksar el Kaoua

Ksar el Kaoua is a Roman castle situated in the ancient Roman province of Mauritania Caesarea [1] [2]. The site, located approximately 12 kilometers north of Ammi Moussa in the Wilaya of Relizane in western Algeria, is also known as the Ruins of the Latifundium of Kaoua [2]. This structure represents a large agricultural estate (latifundium) within the Late Roman Empire period in North Africa [1] [2].
