Trajan's Arch

The Arch of Trajan is a Roman triumphal arch located in Timgad, near Batna, Algeria [1]. Built between the later 2nd century and early 3rd century AD, the arch reaches a height of 12 metres (39 ft) [1]. Its central arch measures 6 metres (19.5 ft) in height and was wide enough to permit the passage of vehicles, which left deep ruts in the ground beneath the archway [2].
