The Temple of Anahita at Kangavar is one of two archaeological sites in Iran attributed to the ancient Iranian water goddess Anahita[1]. Located in Kermanshah Province, this temple complex is notable for its exceptional ashlar masonry construction[2]. The structure features trapezoidal doorways characteristic of Parthian and Sassanian architectural traditions[2]. Scientific analysis has identified local limestone quarries as the source of construction materials, confirming the use of indigenous stone for the temple's walls and pillars[3].
