The Mount William Stone Axe Quarry (Wil-im-ee moor-ring, 'axe place' in Woiwurrung) is an Aboriginal Australian site in Central Victoria, located 9 km northeast of Lancefield and 78 km from Melbourne [1]. This greenstone quarry supplied raw material for ground-edge axes that were traded across south-east Australia [1]. The site demonstrates stone tool production and extensive trade networks in pre-contact Aboriginal Australia [1].
