Petroglyph Beach State Historic Park is an archaeological site on the shore of Wrangell, Alaska, featuring the highest concentration of Native American petroglyphs in southeastern Alaska [1]. Located less than a mile from downtown Wrangell, the site contains at least 40 carved images on boulders and bedrock outcrops [1]. The beach and surrounding area date to approximately 8,000 years ago, making it one of the oldest archaeological sites in the region [1]. The site was established as a State Historic Park in 2000 to protect these irreplaceable cultural artifacts [1].
