Zyndram's Hill (Gora Zyndrama) in Maszkowice, southern Poland, is a prehistoric fortified settlement in the Beskid Wyspowy range of the Northern Carpathians. Radiocarbon dating places its earliest phase to 1750-1700 BC, when it was surrounded by massive dry-stone defensive walls 2-3 meters wide, representing the oldest known stone fortification in Poland and one of the earliest outside the Mediterranean. The site was occupied during the Early Bronze Age (1750-1550 BC) by the Mierzanowice culture, the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age (950-400 BC), and the La Tene period (200-50 BC). Only about 20% of the plateau has been excavated, with ongoing research by Jagiellonian University revealing pottery, bronze artifacts, and evidence of long-distance Mediterranean contacts.
