Stobno, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Stobno is a village in Gmina Wolow, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, southwestern Poland, with settlement dating back to prehistoric times. Archaeological sites from the Bronze Age and the Early Middle Ages have been identified in the area. The earliest written mention of the village dates from 1259, when it was part of Piast-ruled Poland, a domain it had belonged to since the late 10th century. The village lies approximately 7 km south of Wolow in a region with a rich prehistoric archaeological record.
