Kilmartin Glen is an area in Argyll, Scotland, containing the most important concentration of Neolithic and Bronze Age remains on mainland Scotland [1]. Located between Oban and Lochgilphead around the village of Kilmartin, the glen houses over 800 ancient monuments within a 10 km radius, including 150 prehistoric sites [1]. Notable monuments include standing stones, a henge, numerous burial cists, and a linear cemetery of five burial cairns [1]. Several features and natural rocks bear cup and ring marks [1]. The Kilmartin Museum in the village explains the stories of this ancient landscape [1]. Dating from 4500 to 3000 BC, the site represents over 1,500 years of prehistoric activity [1].
