TürkiyeStratonikeia is one of the most important ancient city-states in inner Caria, located near Yatagan in Mugla Province, Turkey [1] [2]. The site preserves a Roman bath, a monumental Northern City Gate on the sacred road from Lagina, and the largest known gymnasion in ancient Anatolia [1] [2]. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List [1].
