Roma Dönemi Agora Harabeleri

The Agora of Smyrna (Roma Donemi Agora Harabeleri) is an ancient Roman agora in present-day Izmir, Turkey, and one of the largest of its kind in the world. Originally built in the 4th century BC after Alexander the Great's era, it was destroyed by an earthquake in 178 AD and rebuilt by Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Excavations since 1933 have revealed a west portico, basilica, bouleuterion, mosaic hall, and Roman bath. The civil basilica houses the world's richest collection of ancient Greek graffiti. Added to UNESCO's Tentative World Heritage List in 2020.
