Talaiot y Taula de Trepucó

Trepuco is one of the largest Talayotic settlements in Menorca, covering over 4 hectares. Its central talayot measures more than 26 metres in diameter and 8 metres in height, while the taula sanctuary features a nearly five-metre-high T-shaped megalith. Around the 5th century BCE the village was enclosed by a Cyclopean wall with square defensive towers. The settlement was likely destroyed during the Second Punic War when General Magon occupied Menorca. Excavated by Margaret Murray in 1930 and declared a National Historical Monument in 1931, Trepuco is now part of the UNESCO-inscribed Talayotic Menorca.
