Bocchoris was an ancient settlement in northern Majorca near modern Port de Pollenca, dating to c. 1400 BC during the island's Talayotic culture. Under Roman rule after the conquest of the Balearics in 123 BC, it held the privileged status of civitas foederata (federated city). Pliny the Elder recorded it in his Naturalis Historia as a "treaty town of the Bocchi, no longer existing" by the 1st century AD. Remains including town walls and gate posts survive in the Boquer Valley.
