Son Ferrer

Son Ferrer in Calvia, Mallorca, contains a stepped turriform monument with occupation spanning from the Early Bronze Age (c. 1800 BC) through the Late Iron Age. The monument was built atop an earlier hypogeum used for collective burial, with a cyclopean staggered tower erected during the Late Bronze Age. Excavations (2000-2009) revealed at least 79 interred individuals, including infants buried in pottery containers, alongside Greco-Italic and Phoenician ceramics indicating overseas trade networks. The site is near the Puig de sa Morisca Archaeological Park.
