Son Oleza

Son Oleza is a prehistoric Beaker culture dolmen and settlement near Valldemossa on Mallorca's northwest coast, occupied from c. 2500 to 1300 BC. Investigated by Professor Bill Waldren, the large site includes houses, a dolmen, and a water supply system forming a nearly complete village. The dolmen is the only one on the Balearic archipelago to contain Bell Beaker pottery, with radiocarbon dates indicating use from c. 2200 to 1890 BC. Over 43,000 artifact fragments have been recovered, including V-shaped buttons, wrist guards, copper awls, and serrated flint blades.
