Jinkiori

Jinkiori is a petroglyph site in Paucartambo Province, Cusco, Peru, centered on a large monolith near the Queros River, about two hours' walk from Pilcopata [1]. The engravings on the Monolith of Jinkiori have Amazonian origins and include abstract representations possibly linked to cosmological beliefs and ayahuasca use [1]. The carvings may have been created by ancestors of the Huachipaeri, an indigenous group still living in the Kosñipata valley [1]. Features include a small basin possibly used for preparing chicha and a distinctive key-shaped engraving [1].
