Qhapaq Kancha

Qhapaq Kancha (Quechua for 'principal corral') is an Inca-period archaeological site in Peru, located atop a mountain of the same name in the Cusco Region, Calca Province, Coya District. The site covers an area of 2.4 square kilometres and features numerous wide agricultural terraces leading up the hillsides. Along the top of the terraces runs a section of the Qhapaq Nan, the extensive Inca road network that once connected the empire across six modern-day South American nations.
