Inka Raqay, Ayacucho

An Inca archaeological site in Peru's Ayacucho Region, Huanta Province, Iguain District, situated on top of the mountain Allqu Willka. The name derives from Quechua, where "Inka" refers to the Inca Empire and "raqay" means a ruin, shed, storehouse, or dormitory for farm laborers. The site features stone wall structures demonstrating Inca architectural and engineering methods. It likely functioned as a storage and administrative facility serving the Inca road network during the empire's height (c. 1438-1530 AD).
