Nuragic Complex Romanzesu

Su Romanzesu is a major Nuragic sanctuary-village near Bitti, Sardinia, spanning over seven hectares on a plateau near the source of the river Tirso. Dating primarily to the Late and Final Bronze Age (13th-9th century BC), the complex includes approximately one hundred huts, a holy well temple, megaron temples, an elliptical amphitheatre, and a large labyrinth structure. It represents one of the rare Nuragic sites where cult and domestic life coexisted in balance. Roman occupation followed during the 2nd-3rd centuries AD, giving the site its name.
