Fonte Sacra Su Tempiesu

A Nuragic sacred well temple near Orune in central Sardinia, dating to the Late Bronze Age (13th century BC) and used until the Early Iron Age [1] [2]. The temple comprises a vestibule with two monolithic arches, a four-step staircase, and a circular tholos chamber protecting the spring [2]. Its double-sloped roof once supported twenty bronze votive swords [2]. Discovered in 1953 and excavated by Maria Ausilia Fadda (1981-86, 1998) [1] [2].
